Building Healthy Habits Early
Helping children ages 4–12 develop lifelong healthy habits.
What is 4 to 12?
4to12 is a community initiative designed to help elementary school children build healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Through partnerships with schools and local organizations, students participate in hands-on experiences focused on healthy eating, physical activity, and overall wellness.
By introducing children to positive habits early, we help create healthier communities for the future.
The 4 to 12 initiative brings a series of engaging experiences to elementary school students throughout the year, helping them develop healthy habits that last a lifetime. Each experience focuses on one of three pillars:
Grow • Move • Thrive
Grow
Children learn healthy eating through gardening, cooking classes, and exploring where healthy food comes from.
Move
Kids discover fun ways to stay active through sports, swimming, dance, and other movement activities.
Thrive
Students build lifelong wellness habits including confidence, healthy routines, and caring for both body and mind.
Through these experiences, children learn that healthy habits can be fun, empowering, and part of everyday life.
